GUWAHATI: A person from Dhubri, who was in contact with a positive patient (with Markaz linkage) from the same district, has been confirmed as Covid-19 positive.
The total number of Covid-19 patients in Assam now stands at 29.
It is to be mentioned that majority of the cases so far reported positive in Assam are rooted to the Nizamuddin Markaz apart from one patient from Guwahati who has no link to the Nizamuddin Markaz.
Meanwhile, Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed that the condition of the 28th case (from Hailakandi) of COVID-19 from Assam is alarming. Though his other parameters are stable, his oxygen saturation is decreasing and has been shifted to the ICU of Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) for better monitoring.
