GUWAHATI: Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal inaugurated the 2nd phase of Asom Darshan scheme on November 12.

A total of 377 religious organizations will get Rs. 10 lakh each for infrastructure development under the Asom darshan scheme. Earlier, in the 1st phase 915 such organizations received Rs. 10 lakh each.
The total amount allocated to organizations under Asom Darshan scheme is Rs. 25 lakh, out of which Rs. 10 lakh will be provided initially and Rs. 15 lakh will be provided later, to those organizations that utilises the initial fund properly.
The inauguration program was held at Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra auditorium in Guwahati in presence of Assam's Health and Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Water Resource and Archeology Minister Keshav Mahanta, among others.
