GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and provided a briefing on the ongoing programmes in the state. CM Sarma also extended an invitation to PM Modi to visit Assam for several key events.
The proposed agenda for the Prime Minister's visit includes:
1. Laying the Foundation Stone of the Kamakhya Corridor Project
2. Dedicating the Grand Statue of Bir Lachit at Jorhat
3. Inaugurating Tinsukia Medical College and laying the foundation of Sivasagar Medical College
Furthermore, the Chief Minister sought the counsel of the Prime Minister on organising the Assam Business Summit in 2024. The objective of the summit is to establish a robust platform to attract private investments, fostering economic growth in the region.
