Assam CM Directs DCs To Take Strict Action Against Land Documentation Forgery

 

GUWAHATI: A comprehensive review meeting was held by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma with all District Commissioners on December 5.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed the District Commissioners to take stringent action against instances of land documentation forgery reported in several districts.

He expressed concern over the activities of unscrupulous elements engaged in fraudulent land documentation and focused on the need for a crackdown to maintain transparency and integrity in land-related matters.

Furthermore, the CM urged District Commissioners to accelerate the implementation of Mission Basundhara 2.0 and expedite the process of distributing ration cards.

Additionally, an analysis of the ongoing Khel Maharan and Sanskritik Mahasangram events in various districts was done. These cultural and sports initiatives play a significant role in promoting talent, unity, and cultural richness across the state. CM Sarma encouraged the District Commissioners to actively participate in and support these events to ensure their success.
