GUWAHATI: The Assam government has allocated a sum of ₹550 crore for the Assam Micro Finance Incentive and Relief Scheme during the upcoming financial year 2024-25.
Under the latest phase, Category III, which focuses on supporting economically vulnerable women borrowers, approximately 2,22,949 beneficiaries have been identified for assistance.
Notably, this phase targets accounts with outstanding principal amounts ranging from ₹25,001 up to ₹50,000, specifically addressing non-performing assets as of 31st March 2021.
Around 12 lakh beneficiaries are receiving assistance totaling ₹2,081 crore under this scheme.
