Assam Budget 2023-24: 3000 Km Of Roads To Be Build In State For Better Connectivity

GUWAHATI: The Assam Government has announced a new flagship scheme called the Mukhya Mantri Nagariya Path Pokikaran Achoni, the Finance Minister of Assam said yesterday while presenting the Assam Budget 2023-24 at the state assembly.

Four flagship schemes were announced in the Assam Budget 2022-23 for better connectivity of roads in the state of Assam.

An additional 3000 km of roads will be built this year under the four flagship connectivity schemes announced last year.

One of the four schemes announced last year was the Mukhya Mantrir Unnoto Pakipath Nirman Achoni, under which, 1260 km of roads are under upgradation.

Under Mukhya Mantrir Mathauri Pokikarn Achoni, 90 km of work is in progress.

1849 km of roads are being developed in Mukhya Mantrir Path Nabikaran Achoni.

Under Mukhya Mantrir Pakipath Nirman Achoni, Government will provide connectivity to eligible unconnected habitations or habitations connected with totally dilapidated existing roads through 2000 new roads of 3000 Km.
