Assam: ASDMA Issues New SOPs, Kamrup Metro To Remain Open Till 5 PM

GUWAHATI: The Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) has issued new directives for the containment of COVID-19 in both rural and urban areas across the state, effective Monday, June 28. 

Curfew relaxation has been extended from 5 AM to 5 PM in Kamrup (Metro) district. Shops and business establishments will be allowed to remain open till 4 PM. These orders will remain in effect until further notice.

 

The decision has been taken after careful reviewing of the COVID-19 situation in the Kamrup Metro district.

Along with Kamrup Metro, districts like South Salmara, Majuli, Bongaigaon, Chirang, Udalguri, West Karbi Anglong, Dima Hasao, Charaideo, and Hailakandi, has been showing improvement in terms of case load. In all the above-mentioned districts curfew relaxation hours have been extended till 5 PM. 

Functioning of Government and private offices, dine-in and take away from restaurants/eateries and malls, etc. will be operational till 4 PM, in these districts.

Other restrictions including the odd-even formula for plying of vehicles, restrictions on inter-district travel, etc. shall continue to remain in force until further order.
