Assam: Arms And Ammunitions From NDFB Days Recovered In Sonitpur

 

GUWAHATI: In the early hours of Monday morning, August 12, the police recovered weapons and explosives from the village of Bilasiguri-Batasipur.

The village comes under Dhekiajuli Police Station in Sonitpur, Assam.

The recovered cache included five hand grenades of Chinese origin, five handmade grenades, a pistol, a revolver, and five detonators. These arms and ammunitions are believed to have been buried during the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) days.

Assam Director General of Police (DGP) GP Singh took to his official 'X' handle to put out, "Five Hand Grenades of Chinese origin and five hand made Grenades, One each pistol and Revolver, 5 Detonators. Recovered early this morning from Village Bilasiguri-Batasipur under Dhekiajuli PS in Sonitpur District where they were hidden under earth during NDFB days."
