Assam Approves ₹200 Crore Power Subsidy, Weaker Sections To Benefit

₹200 Crore Power Subsidy Approved by the Assam Government for FY 2024-25.

The Assam Cabinet approved a targeted power subsidy of ₹200 crore for the fiscal year 2024-25, during a meeting that took place on Wednesday, September 4.

The subsidy is aimed at reducing electricity costs for economically weaker sections and will benefit 5,96,400 consumers in the Jeevan Dhara category and 55,67,039 consumers in the Domestic-A category.



This decision is expected to provide financial relief to the economically weaker sections of power consumers.
