GUWAHATI: The Assam cabinet has approved a fund of ₹131 crore for construction of roads, bridges, culverts, and internal drainage at the site of Dudhnoi Medical College in Goalpara.

The announcement was made by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma via social media platform ‘X’ after the cabinet meeting on Monday, May 5.
The infrastructural development will be undertaken by PWD (Roads) and has been initiated to support the establishment of the new medical college in the district.
This funding has also been expected to ease access and improve facilities at the upcoming health institution.
Meanwhile, the cabinet also cleared land for IOC in Goalpara and sanctioned funds for new finance schemes during the meeting.
