GUWAHATI: The Assam Government’s Department of Personnel has issued orders promoting and appointing key officials.
Borsing Rongpi, holding the position of Chief Engineer in the Water Resource Department, has been promoted to the Grade of Secretary to the Government of Assam, Water Resource Department. The promotion, effective immediately upon assuming the role, places him in the Pay Band-5, with a monthly salary ranging from ₹65,000 to ₹1,12,000, along with a Grade Pay of ₹18,500, in addition to other admissible allowances. This decision follows the recommendation of the Selection Board.
Jitu Doley assumes Role of Secretary, Finance Department. Following his promotion to the grade of Joint Commissioner of Income Tax (JCIT) as per the order from the Department of Revenue (Central Board of Direct Taxes), Ministry of Finance, Government of India (Order No: F.No. 32012/5/2023-Ad.VI, dated 31/12/2023), Jitu Doley, IRS (Civil Code-14164), Additional Secretary to the Government of Assam, Finance Department, has been appointed as Secretary to the Government of Assam, Finance Department. This appointment, effective from January 1, 2024, places him in Level 12 of the pay matrix, with a salary range of ₹78,800 to ₹2,09,200.
