GUWAHATI: Assam Cricket Association's (ACA) highly anticipated Inter-Institution T20 Cricket Tournament began on Saturday and will continue until June 1.
Cricket enthusiasts can witness the action unfold across three venues - ACA Stadium Main Ground, ACA Stadium Annex Ground, and Amingaon Cricket Ground.
With 24 teams participating, the tournament has been divided into four groups, each consisting of six teams.
The ACA Inter-Institution T20 Cricket Tournament will adhere to the BCCI playing conditions, adding an air of professionalism and consistency to the matches.
Besides the highly coveted championship title, the ACA has also arranged attractive cash prizes for the triumphant teams.
The tournament winners will receive a cash prize of ₹5 lakh, while the runners-up will receive ₹ 2.5 lakh.
Moreover, each semifinalist will get ₹ 1.5 lakh.
Individual brilliance will not go unnoticed, as the tournament also boasts an array of special awards.
The best batter, fielder, and bowler will be recognised for their outstanding contributions with a cash prize of ₹50,000 each.
The player of the tournament will receive a reward of ₹1 lakh. The Player of the Match of the final will get ₹50,000.
The ACA, along with its affiliated institutions, wishes all the participating teams the best of luck and hopes that the tournament will serve as a stepping stone for budding cricketers.
