Assam: 41 candidates fail to appear in exam due to wrong time-table

GUWAHATI: As many as 41 students of 21 schools who went to appear for their High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) compartmental examination on Saturday July 6 could not appear in their examination as they were given wrong time schedule.

The incident happened at Fuleswari Girls’ Higher Secondary School of Sivasagar, wherein the students alleged their school authorities of providing misinformation about their examination dates.

As per reports, the students had examination on the elective Hindi and Computer Science papers on July 2, but the school authorities informed them that the exam of these papers had been postponed to July 6.

However, after reaching their school on July 6, the students came to know that the examination had already been held on July 2. 

Meanwhile, the principal of the school, Dipanjali Mahanta said that they were shocked when they saw that there were many absentees on the day of the examination. They said that they had no idea as to which time table the students had been referred to and that school had conducted the examination as per the examination schedule.

It should be mentioned that the district administration said that it is not possible to re-conduct the examination for these students.
