The Dibrugarh Police on Saturday questioned the wife of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Assam Police, Koushik Kalita, who was recently arrested in connection with the APSC Cash-for-Jobs scam.
According to reports, Koushik’s wife had helped him write the answers in the examination. Kalita also bagged the post of DSP by bribing ex-APSC Chairman and the prime accused in the Cash-for-Jobs Scam, Rakesh Paul.
The issue came to light after the handwriting samples of the two were sent for a forensic test. The couple however is now divorced.
Investigation is currently underway and more details are awaited.
