"Name of the person who tesed positive is Dr. D. J. Dutta. He has been working with us for the past year and a half and his wife is a doctor at GMCH. Day before yesterday was the last time he visited the hospital when he saw 3 or 4 patients and he didn't show up yesterday because he must've thought there is something wrong with his health, since he is a doctor himself. He himself tested and he is now undergoing treatment at GMCH," Uday Sankar Barkataki, Deputy General Manager and Head of Marketing, Apollo Hospitals, Guwahati.

"The hospital is following all preventive measures to curb the spread of the disease and is fully open for patients," he added.

The hospital has been following utmost hygiene with use of PPE, social distancing, frequent sanitation and other protective measures to ensure safety of both patients and staff.
