GUWAHATI: A water pipe leakage was reported near the Indian Oil Petrol Pump in the bustling area of Chandmari, causing concern among the residents and commuters. The incident occurred at approximately 4:30 PM and resulted in water spillage on the main road.
As the news spread, G Plus reached the spot and talked to the contractor responsible for the water connections in the area to get more insights into the situation.
Speaking to G Plus, the contractor said, "We are working on 20 different home water connections today. And as the connections across Guwahati are switched on, the spillage is quite normal as the main line keeps flowing. We gave connections to around 10 places and the same thing happened. But, just because this location is on the main road, people created a scene. This is not a pipe leak. But, a work in progress in which water flowed out".
