Anand Mishra To File Nomination For LS Polls From Buxar 

 

GUWAHATI: Former IPS officer Anand Mishra has declared his candidacy for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, stating that he will be filing his nomination from Buxar, Bihar, May 7.

Mishra confirmed his intention to contest from the 33-Buxar LS Seat in Bihar through social media on April 28.

Mishra took to X to put out, “We are Filing Nomination for Lok Sabha Election 2024 from 33-BUXAR LS Seat (Bihar) on 7th May, 2024. Everyone is cordially invited on 07-05-2024 @ 10 AM to Buxar, Bihar please.” 

Stating his dedication to serving the people of Buxar and combating corruption, Mishra asserted that his campaign represents the collective aspirations of the constituency, transcending party lines. He served as the Superintendent of Police in various districts of Assam, including Charaideo, Dhubri, Nagaon, and North Lakhimpur. Following his resignation from the IPS in December 2023, Mishra expressed a desire to pursue social services and personal goals aligned with freedom and independence.
