GUWAHATI: The Home Department of the Assam government issued orders, announcing significant transfers within the police department.
Anand Mishra, IPS (AM:2011), currently serving as the Superintendent of Police in Lakhimpur, is transferred and attached to Assam Police Headquarters until formally relieved from the Indian Police Service, subsequent to the acceptance of his resignation.
In a corresponding move, Aparna N (AM:2014), IPS, the Principal of Lachit Barphukan Police Academy in Dergaon, is set to assume the role of Superintendent of Police in Lakhimpur.
This transfer is a strategic response to fill the vacancy created by the departure of Anand Mishra.
