GUWAHATI: The All Assam Minority Students’ Union (AAMSU) recently submitted a memorandum to the Dhubri’s Superintendent of Police, urging a proper investigation and the immediate arrest of the culprits responsible for the death of Class 9 student Rahul Hussain.

According to reports, Rahul Hussain was called from his home on December 25, 2024, at around 2 PM. His lifeless body was found near Targhat NH in Dhubri district at around 5 AM the next morning.
Hussain was reportedly carrying an iPhone and an Android mobile phone at the time of his disappearance. Following the discovery of his body, his father lodged a complaint at Gauripur Police Station.
However, two months after the death of the boy, his family is yet to receive justice, as police have allegedly failed to conduct a proper investigation or arrest the culprits. The incident has sparked outrage in the Geramari II section of Dhubri district, with a delegation of the AAMSU led by President Rezaul Karim Sarkar demanding swift action for the case.
