Amazon Delivers Bhagavad Gita Against Communist Manifesto Order

GUWAHATI: In another blunder by e-commerce site Amazon while delivering orders, a Kolkata man received a copy of 'Bhagavad Gita' against his order for 'The Communist Manifesto' by Friedrich Engels and Karl Marx.

Sutirtha Das ordered for The Communist Manifesto on 10th June, Wednesday and received it at his residence on 13th June, Saturday.

He was shocked to find an "old, brown" Penguin copy of the abridged version of 'Bhagavad Gita' inside the package.

Das posted on his Facebook profile narrating the incident. He mentioned that he had ordered the book as it was being sold at a discounted price of Rs. 90.

Reportedly, he got a call on the day of delivery from a lady asking him to reject the package, saying it was the wrong book. As Das was at office and the package was delivered to his residential address the same could not be rejected.

It's not the first instance when the e-commerce giant has made such a mistake. Recently, a Pune customer was delivered a pair of Bose headphones priced Rs. 19,000 when he had ordered for a body lotion costing Rs. 300.
