GUWAHATI: The Northeast Frontier Railway Sports Association (NFRSA) Tennis Wing commenced the All Assam State Ranking Tennis Tournament on November 13 at the NFRSA Lawn Tennis Complex in Maligaon, Guwahati.
The opening ceremony, presided over by Sasanka Sarmah, NFRSA General Secretary and Chief Personnel Officer/Industrial Relation of NF Railway, witnessed the active participation of various NFRSA officials.
This tournament is set to feature a range of events across different age categories, catering to players under 10, 12, 14, and 18 years for both boys and girls.
Additionally, Men’s Double, Veteran Men’s Double (above 45 years), and Mixed Double (Open) events are also part of the competition.
Approximately 200 players and five officials from various regions of Assam have gathered to participate in both men’s and women’s categories.
The tournament, spanning five days, is scheduled to conclude on November 17, 2023.
