GUWAHATI: Under tight security, Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) leader Akhil Gogoi was brought back to Guwahati on late evening of December 25.
It is to be mentioned that Gogoi was taken into 10 days NIA custody and is said to be produced before the NIA court here in Guwahati.
The NIA alleged that Gogoi merged KMSS with Revolutionary Communist Centre (RCC) in 2009 and has involvement with the Maoists.

Meanwhile, the NIA also launched a search operation at Gogoi's residence in Guwahati on December 26 at around 7:00 AM.
A sleuth from NIA along with city police launched the search operation at his Nijarapar residence.
