GUWAHATI: The pass percentage of AHSEC Class 12 results for the year 2023 has been the lowest in the last decade.
For the Arts stream the pass percentage this year is 70.12, for Commerce, it is 79.57 and for Science, it is 84.96.
This year’s pass percentage has seen a significant drop from the last few years. In 2022, the pass percentage was 83.48 for the Arts stream, which was 13.26% higher than this year.
In 2022, the pass percentage of the Commerce stream was 87.27, which is again 7.7% higher than this year and for the Science stream, the pass percentage was 92.19, which was 7.23% higher than this year.
Similarly, from 2014 to 2021, the pass percentage for each stream was comparatively quite higher than this year.

The pass percentage for the Arts stream from 2014 to 2021 was 73.91, 74.07, 79.92, 73.16, 74.68, 75.14, 78.28 and 98.93 respectively.
The pass percentage for the Commerce stream from 2014 to 2021 was 82.70, 81.82, 86.01, 82.72, 84.64, 87.59, 88.18 and 99.57 respectively.
The pass percentage for the Science stream from 2014 to 2021 was 85.31, 86.76, 90.96, 86.24, 85.74, 86.59, 88.06 and 99.06 respectively.
The AHSEC announced the Class 12 results on Tuesday, 9 AM. A total of 328031 candidates appeared for the examination this year.
