Advisory Issued For Admissions To Four-Year Undergraduate Programme In Assam

GUWAHATI: Assam Government has recently issued an advisory to all colleges and universities in the state regarding the admission process for the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP). The advisory outlines the key guidelines and timelines that institutions must follow to ensure a smooth and transparent admission process.

According to the advisory, all colleges and universities offering FYUG programs are required to release their first merit list on July 11. The merit list should be prepared based on the seats allocated by the affiliating university.

To be eligible for admission, applicants must have registered and completed the form submission through the Samarth Portal. Additionally, they should have selected at least one program of their choice.

The advisory further emphasises that admission will remain open for the specified duration, allowing selected candidates to secure their admission on any of the specified dates of the merit list. As long as the candidates' documents are authentic and valid, they will not be denied admission if they appear on any of the specified dates.

Notably, no waitlist will be prepared for admission. Instead, any seats remaining vacant after the first round of admission will be made available for candidates from the second merit list. The second merit list is scheduled to be released on July 15.

Similarly, a third merit list will be prepared for seats that remain unoccupied after the second round of admission. This third merit list is set to be released on July 20.
