GUWAHATI: Srutimala Duara, Associate Professor of Handique Girls' College, passed away Monday morning at a private hospital in Guwahati.
She breathed her last at around 11:15 AM, media reported.
Duara, a cancer survivor, was popular among her students and colleagues.
Apart from being a professor, Duara was also a prolific author who had penned several books.
Her latest book, My Journey through Cancer, was released at the second Asom Book Fair in 2022. The book chronicles her journey while she was diagnosed with cancer.
Several students took to social media to offer condolences on her demise.
