GUWAHATI: After four rounds of counting in B Barooah Students’ Union Elections 2024, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) emerged as the dominant force winning 9 key positions.

The All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) managed to secure 2 seats, and the Students’ Federation of India (SFI) won 2 as well. Two independent candidates also emerged victorious.
Dikson Basumatary, running as an independent candidate, was elected as President with a lead of 979 votes. Himangshu Malla Bujarbaruah from ABVP won the General Secretary post with 747 votes.

* College Debating & Symposium Secretary: Prasurjya Raj Deka (779 votes)
* Cricket Secretary: Tutumoni Medhi (Uncontested)
* Football Secretary: Spandan Nath (Uncontested) –
* Gymnasium Secretary: Hrishikesh Mallick (Uncontested)
* Boys' Common Room Secretary: Rishiraj Barman (886 votes)
* Girls' Common Room Secretary: Dipshikha Roy (786 votes)
