93 New Assistant Professors Appointed In Assam’s State Engineering Colleges

GUWAHATI: The Assam government has appointed 93 new Assistant Professors to state engineering colleges, marking the first such recruitment in seven years. The appointments, announced on Monday, February 10, reflect the state's renewed focus on enhancing the quality of engineering education.

Education Minister Ranoj Pegu handed over the official appointment letters to the new faculty members during a ceremony at the Assam Administrative Staff College in Khanapara. The event was organised by the state's Higher Education Department.

The newly appointed professors were urged to play a key role in implementing the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and to equip students with the skills needed to thrive in the 21st century. 

In his address, he encouraged the professors to actively contribute to the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and help students develop the skills necessary to excel in the evolving demands of the 21st century.
