8 Bangladeshi Nationals arrested from Guwahati Railway Station

GUWAHATI: Government Railway Police in Guwahati nabbed eight Bangladeshi nationals from the Guwahati Railway Station on Monday.

As per officials, the police apprehended them when they were waiting to board the Chennai Express train.

As per their statements, they entered India through Agartala border on April 20 and boarded the Guwahati-bound bus the next day and arrived in Guwahati on Monday morning.

Authorities informed that they were possessing Adhaar cards which are suspected to be forged and some mobile phones with Bangladesh sim cards were also recovered.

The detained Bangladeshi nationals were planning to travel to Chennai by the 15930 Dibrugarh-Chennai Express.

Two agents took money from Bangladeshi national and promised jobs in Chennai.

The foreigners who were apprehended included- Akram Hussain, Dilwer Hussain, Rubel Hussain, Kamal Hussain, Manir Hussain, Abu Taher, Sobuj Hussain and Manir Hussain.
