In a sensational incident that took place on Monday afternoon at Kid Veda School of Nalini Bala Devi Path, Christian Basti, a 5 year old kid named Manvik Surana was kidnapped by an unknown person during school hours.
Manvik is verbally impaired and hails originally from Nagaon. The family shifted to Guwahati few months back for Manvik's thereapy treatment.
Manvik like regular days came to school today at 10 AM. The whole incident came to light after his parents came to pick him up from school at 12:30 PM.
One of Manvik's family member, exclusively speaking to G Plus said, "We dropped him at school at 10 AM. At around 11:45 AM, a man in a black jacket and long untied hair came to the school and introduced himself as Manvik's relative. The person also said that for some emergency, the family needs to tavel to Nagaon immediately, which is why he came to pick up Manvik. When the Principal denied to hand over the kid, since he is a special child, the person connected the Principal with some lady over phone, who claimed to be Manvik's mother. When we went to pick up Manvik at 12:30 PM, we came to know that someone had already taken him from school."
It is to be noted that the school which deals with kids, does not have a single CCTV camera in the entire campus.
The family has registered an FIR at Dispur Police Station in connection with the incident.
