5 new Assam Houses to be set up in major cities of the country

In addition to the four existing guest houses of Assam in different parts of the country, five new guest houses would soon come up in New Delhi, Kolkata, Vellore, Chennai and Bengaluru.

Commerce and Industry Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary, while responding to a question by MLA Siddhartha Bhattacharyya, said that more than 90 per cent of work in the Assam Bhawan of Kolkata and Chennai has been completed and the guest houses would soon be opened for people.
