GUWAHATI: A vehicle transporting a substantial quantity of Phensedyl was intercepted at the Churaibari check post by the personnel of Karimganj Police on November 29.
According to reliable inputs, the intercepted vehicle was laden with 240 cartons containing a staggering 40,000 bottles of Phensedyl. Two individuals from a neighbouring state were apprehended in connection with the illicit transport.
Commending the swift action, CM Sarma expressed appreciation for the efforts of Assam Police, emphasising the state's unwavering stance against the drug trade.
Taking To X, CM Sarma stated, “Based on reliable inputs, a vehicle laden with 240 cartons containing 40,000 bottles of Phensedyl was intercepted at the Churaibari check post by @karimganjpolice. Two persons from a neighbouring State were apprehended with the vehicle.Good job @assampolice #AssamAgainstDrugs”
Further investigations are underway.
