GUWAHATI: Ten years ago, on this date, Guwahati and parts of Assam witnessed a massive blast which the people of Assam which claimed more than 50 innocent lives.
The blasts conceived by NDFB’s Ranjan Daimary saw bloodshed in Ganeshguri, Panbazar, Kachari, Barpeta, Kokrajhar, and Bongaigaon.
To pay tribute to the departed souls a programme has been arranged in Ganeshguri and Kachari followed by a silent cycle rally.
The cycle rally started from under the Ganeshguri flyover and passed through Ganeshguri, Bhangagarh, Ulubari, Stadium Road, Dighalipukhuri, Panbazar, Uzan Bazar, Guwahati Club, Silpukhuri, Chandmari.
The rally was initiated to protest against the violent activities executed by extremists.
