GUWAHATI: 27 police officers shall be awarded for their meritorious service on the occasion of Independence Day.
The officers are - Partha Sarathi Mahanta, Chittranjan Ojah, Simanta Talukdar, Sudhakar Singh, Mugdhajyoti Dev Mahanta, Bir Bikram Gogoi, Pabindra Nath, Longni Terang, Krishna Kanta Dutta, Yusuf Hussain, Rantul Kumar Deka, Meloram Basumatary, Padmajyoti Gogoi, Milan Mech, Rebati Mohan Nath, Rudreswar Pegu, Ram Mohan Kemprai, Rishi Singha, Rinu Neog, Abdul Jalil, Rajendra Kumar Singh, Gagan Chandra Nath, kalyan Chetry, Chandra Prasad, Damodar Boro, Khagen Kalita and Abhijit Borgohain.
Two police officers will also be awarded President's Police Medal for distinguished service. They are Rana Bhuyan and Hardon Sah.
