26 National Highway Projects Worth Over ₹17,000 Crore Initiated For Extended Connectivity Across Assam

 

GUWAHATI: Several pivotal infrastructure projects are being initiated in Assam, announced the Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma in the presence of Minister of Road Transport & Highways, Nitin Gadkari in Guwahati on October 31.

Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, has dedicated 26 National Highway projects with a cumulative project cost exceeding ₹17,500 crore.

-Four-laning of Kaliabor Tinali-Dolabari Highway along with the construction of a new 2-lane bridge over the Brahmaputra with a project cost of ₹837 crore has been planned.

A four-lane highway from Dokmoka-Loring Thepi Highway with a project cost of ₹266 crore has been mapped.

-Two-lane highway chalked out for routes from Powamara to Bataia, Trinokhal to Mundamala, and Lowarpuwa to Churaibari, with a cost of ₹167 crore.

-Strengthening of Numaligarh Khatkhati Road to be done with an allocated budget of ₹146 crore.

-Furthermore, the foundation stone has been laid for 22 additional projects, valued at ₹16,128 crore.
