GUWAHATI: Literary Award and Pension 2023 will be bestowed upon 23 distinguished litterateurs on the 92nd birth anniversary of the late eminent Writer and Journalist Homen Borgohain on December 7.
The ceremony is scheduled to take place on December 7 at 11 AM in the Media Hall of the Chief Minister's Office (CMO).
The Literary Award and Pension, a prestigious recognition in the cultural landscape of Assam, will be conferred on the selected 23 individuals who have made exemplary contributions to literature in the state. The ceremony not only aims to honour their literary achievements but also serves as a fitting tribute to the memory of Homen Borgohain, a stalwart in the realm of writing and journalism.
Litterateurs such as Nandita Devi, Anil Kumar Boruah, Railakshmi Khound and Jayanta Madhab Bora have been nominated for the award.
Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu took to X to put out, “HCM Dr. @himantabiswa will confer the Literary Award and Pension 2023 to 23 noted litterateur of Assam on the 92nd birth anniversary of distinguished Writer and Journalist late Homen Borgohain tomorrow at 11 AM at the Media Hall CMO.
