186 nominations across 25 categories in Guwahati Food Awards 2017

After the phenomenal success of G Plus Guwahati Food Awards (GFA) in the last two years, its third edition is back with unprecedented fervour. The GFA 2017, an initiative aimed at recognizing the best in the city’s food and beverage business, has received over 180 nominations, more than its last 2 editions, across 25 award categories. Nominations have been received from the entire gamut of the food and beverage industry in Guwahati comprising restaurants, cafes, lounge bars, bakeries, caterers and fast food eateries amongst others. Citizens are being encouraged to vote for their favourite players via the GFA website (www.guwahatifoodawards.com) or by sending votes via SMS using a unique short-code assigned to each nominee. The voting lines are open till the 20th February 2017, with the awards ceremony taking place on 26th of February 2017 at Hotel Vivanta by Taj.   The participants will be assessed on parameters like food, ambience, service, key specialities and their USP. The jury panel is headed by renowned culinary historian and author, Dr. Ashish Chopra and supported by the Principal Advisor, Mr. Suresh Hinduja, a celebrated food critic, author of Times Food Guide and CEO of Gourmet India.   Speaking on the awards, Mr. Sunit Jain, Director & Publisher, G Plus said, “Its overwhelming how people have responded to the Guwahati Food Awards through its 2 seasons.
