1200 writers come together to write on 'We are Assamese'

Attempting to break a 2013 Guinness World Record for the "most people to write a story in 24 hours", 1200 writers have come together to write a story each on the theme 'We are Assamese.'

The event was an initiative of D-Muse group, in collaboration with the Cotton University Students' Union, and was held at Cotton University on Sunday. The Additional Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup (M) Barnali Sarma inaugurated the event.

The writers wrote both fiction and non-fiction, and the stories will later be compiled into a single story to compete with the previous record.
