GUWAHATI: The 11th special annual session of the Asom Sahitya Sabha will be held at the Panchoraja Samannya Kshetra in Barpujia in Morigaon, as per an official announcement on December 15.
This was announced by the Minister Of Parliamentary Affairs, Water Resources, Information & Public Relations, Printing & Stationery, Social Justice & Empowerment, Pijush Hazarika where he also said that the event will be held in the district in a four-day programme from January 31, 2024.
It is to be noted that this session of the national event will be held on December 16 with the Maanglik ceremony being held at Laikhuta. A discussion was also held by Minister Hazarika with the officials of the committee at Jagiroad University on December 16 in the presence of district commissioners of Nagaon-Morigaon. The District Commissioners have been called upon to take stock of the preparations for the successful completion of the session.
Pijush Hazarika took to X to put out, “The 11th special annual session of the Asom Sahitya Sabha will be held at the Panchoraza Coordination Ground in Barpujia in Morigaon district with a four-day programme from January 31. It is to be noted that this session of the national event will be held tomorrow with the Maanglik ceremony of the establishment of Laikhuta. On the eve of this occasion, I held a discussion with the officials of the committee at Jagiroad Mahavidyalaya today in the presence of the District Commissioners of Nagaon-Morigaon. I call upon the District Commissioners to take stock of the preparations for the successful completion of the session. It is a matter of great privilege and joy for us to be able to hold the session of the greater national event in the Morigaon district in the heritage pandal. I wish everyone's cooperation.”
