100 Kg Python Rescued In Udalguri

 

GUWAHATI: In a collaborative effort, Assam forest personnel, supported by Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) jawans, rescued a 100 kg python in the Bogamati Deuchunga area of Udalguri district on November 15. 

The rescued python was subsequently released in the Barnadi forest area. 

Talking about the joint operation with the SSB, a Udalguri district forest staff member highlighted the significance of the collaboration in ensuring the safe rescue and release of the python.

The Assam Forest Department, in a statement, outlined its mission, emphasising the commitment to protecting and enhancing the environment, safeguarding the state's forests and wildlife, preserving cultural heritage, and fostering compassion for living creatures. The department's comprehensive approach includes the sustainable utilisation of the forestry sector for income and employment generation while conserving the invaluable biodiversity of the state.
