CM Sarma said that as part of the agreement, Japan has announced plans to recruit 50,000 youth from Assam for employment opportunities in their country. The initial phase will involve hiring 50,000 individuals, with prospects of further expansion. These workers are expected to receive salaries of up to ₹3,00,000 per month. Additionally, Japan will establish a Japanese language testing centre in Assam to facilitate language proficiency assessments for potential recruits.

To further strengthen educational ties, more than 20 Japanese professors will visit Assam, and a dual degree program between Japanese and Assamese universities will be introduced. This initiative aims to enhance academic exchange and skill development among students.

Meanwhile, Singapore has expressed keen interest in recruiting nurses from Assam, signing a second MoU focused on nursing and healthcare employment.
