Singh, who runs the Glory and Wisdom Church in Punjab, gained popularity on social media for his claims of performing miracle healings. However, he was found guilty under Sections 376 (rape), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) by Additional Sessions Judge Vikrant Kumar.

The case was initiated after a woman filed a complaint against Singh, alleging that he sexually assaulted her under the false pretext of assisting her with travel abroad.

According to the complaint, the pastor committed the crime at his residence in Mohali and recorded a video of the act. He then allegedly used the footage to threaten the victim, warning that he would release it on social media if she refused to comply with his demands.

Following the allegations, the Punjab government formed a three-member special investigation team to probe the matter.
