Women-Centric Initiatives To Be Launched For Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Beneficiaries

 

GUWAHATI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to interact with beneficiaries of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra on November 30 towards empowering women and enhancing healthcare accessibility. 

As part of this engagement, the Pradhan Mantri Mahila Kisan Drone Kendra will be inaugurated marking a step in women-led development.

Under this initiative, 15,000 drones will be provided to women Self-Help Groups (SHGs) over the next three years, working towards agricultural practices and empowering women in rural areas. 

The Prime Minister will also dedicate the 10,000th Jan Aushadi Kendra at AIIMS Deoghar, as per reports. 

The Jan Aushadi Kendra initiative provides affordable and quality generic medicines to the masses.

Additionally, a program has been planned to be launched which aims at increasing the number of Jan Aushadhi Kendras in the country from 10,000 to 25,000. 

During the interaction, the Prime Minister will connect with beneficiaries from Assam, specifically from GP Lohit Khabolu in Block Telahai, District Lakhimpur, and GP Dakhin Pakowa in Block Paschim Nalbari, District Nalbari.
