GUWAHATI: The Election Commission released electoral bonds data obtained from the State Bank of India (SBI) in compliance with a directive from the Supreme Court on March 15.

The Election Commission affirmed its unwavering commitment to transparency and disclosure, as reiterated in the Supreme Court's proceedings and emphasised in its order.

Here are the top 10 donors to political parties:

1) Future Gaming and Hotel Services PR - ₹ 1,368 crore
2) Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Ltd - ₹ 966 crore
3) Qwik Supply Chain Pvt Ltd - ₹ 410 crore
4) Vedanta Ltd - ₹ 400 crore
5) Haldia Energy Ltd - ₹ 377 crore
6) Bharti Group - ₹ 247 crore
7) Essel Mining & Industries Ltd - ₹ 224 crore
8) Western UP Power Transmission Company Ltd - ₹ 220 crore
9) Keventer Foodpark Infra Ltd - ₹ 195 crore
10) Madanlal Ltd - ₹ 192 crore

In an individual capacity, steel tycoon Lakshmi Niwas Mittal made contributions to the tune of Rs ₹ 35 crore through electoral bonds.
