GUWAHATI: Assam Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship Department (SEED) inaugurated the State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT) Management Information System (MIS) portal for Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in the state on September 18.
The SCVT MIS portal is a digital platform developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), Assam State Unit under the Directorate of Employment and Craftsmen Training, Assam. The MIS portal will streamline administrative tasks, reducing paperwork and manual processes.
The primary objective of the State SCVT MIS portal is to usher in an era of transparency, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making within the ITI ecosystem. It distinctly focuses on three pivotal areas: trainee enrolment, examination management, and placement tracking.
Furthermore, the MIS portal seamlessly integrates with other pertinent systems and databases, ensuring data consistency and interoperability within Assam's vocational education landscape. The SCVT data will be readily visualised through the Chief Minister (CM) Dashboard via Application Programming Interface (API) integration.
The launch event took place at the ITI for Women in Rehabari, Guwahati. Assam Skill Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah also inaugurated a girls' hostel for women on the occasion.
