GUWAHATI: Virat Kohli of Royal Challengers Bengaluru was on Monday fined 50 per cent of his match fees for showing dissent towards the umpire's decision after being ruled out in the match against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens, on April 21.
Kohli was given out after he was caught off a waist-height full-toss delivery from Harshit Rana. RCB eventually lost the high-scoring match by a run.

The Hawk-Eye system found the delivery was just above the waist when he made contact with the ball.
The star batter, who made 18 off seven balls until then, was standing just outside the crease at that moment.
TV umpire Michael Gough checked for the height and as per the Hawk-Eye tracking, the ball would have passed Kohli's waist at a height of 0.92 meter had he been standing and upright at the crease.
An agitated Kohli left after having an animated discussion with the on-field umpire. His black mood persisted till he reached the team dressing room where he knocked a waste-bin located outside.
