Unlock, Unlock, Unlock is the Way Forward: PM Modi

GUWAHATI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his meeting with chief ministers of states on June 17, ruled out the possibility of another lockdown and directed that all governments to find ways of opening further. This brings to end all speculations about further lockdown directives within the country from the central government.

With over 3.5 lakh COVID-19 cases nationwide, there were rumours doing rounds on social media about the possibility of another nationwide lockdown. The Prime Minister cleared the air around the issue and put all such rumours to rest.

PM Modi also urged the states to minimize restrictions as much as possible and boost economic activities. He also stressed on the need to support migrant workers and promote telemedicine.

“We need to now think about phase 2 of Unlock and how to minimize all possibilities of harm to our people,” said Prime Minister Modi.

He repeatedly stressed on the need to unlock while addressing the second batch of chief ministers of 14 states and the lieutenant governor of Jammu & Kashmir.
