These certifications were granted in recognition of the stations' commitment to providing high-quality, nutritious food to passengers, in line with FSSAI's guidelines. Both stations are now among the 10 under the Northeast Frontier Railway (NF Railway) jurisdiction to achieve this status. The certification is valid for two years, with NF Railway working towards ensuring more stations meet FSSAI standards for safe and hygienic food.

Other stations in Assam that have received the certification include Guwahati, Lumding, Rangiya, Mariani, and New Bongaigaon.

The 'Eat Right Station' initiative aims to promote safe, healthy, and sustainable food across railway networks in India.
