GUWAHATI: A road accident on National Highway 15 near Kharupetia army camp claimed the lives of two bus passengers on Monday, March 24. The bus, travelling from Tezpur to Guwahati, was struck by a DI vehicle, which fled the scene after the collision.

The impact left several passengers injured, all of whom have been rushed to Mangaldai Civil Hospital for treatment. The bodies of the deceased have also been sent to the hospital for post-mortem examination, though their identities are yet to be established.
A passenger who witnessed the accident shared, “The DI vehicle in a high speed rammed into our bus. The vehicle fled right after the crash. Two people are dead and several injured. Injured people are taken to Mangaldai Civil Hospital.”
