GUWAHATI: Two bear cubs were rescued from Laojan in Teok, Jorhat on Wednesday, February 26. The Jorhat Forest Department is continuing its search for their mother while ensuring the cubs receive proper care.

Talking to GPlus, a senior Jorhat Forest Department official said, “The two cubs were found in Laojan around 4:00 p.m. and were safely rescued. We are still trying to locate their mother, but so far, there is no sign of her.”
He also added, "After their rescue, the cubs were sent to the Centre for Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation (CWRC), a specialized facility under Kaziranga National Park that provides care for displaced and orphaned wild animals."
