GUWAHATI: Guwahati is preparing to host a set of warm-up matches as part of its preparations for the upcoming World Cup, offering tickets at various price points.
The scheduled matches include Bangladesh vs. Sri Lanka, India vs. England, England vs. Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka vs. Afghanistan. The ticket prices for these warm-up matches start at ₹200, making these matches accessible to a wide audience. Prices then extend to ₹300, ₹500, ₹700, and a premium ₹1000 category.
According to the secretary of Guwahati Sports Association, the ₹200 tickets are exclusively for students and the ₹1000 tickets will grant access to the hospitality box.
Tickets can be conveniently purchased online through BookMyShow, where digital match passes will be provided. Alternatively, fans can obtain hard copies of their tickets from the BookMyShow counter at Nehru Stadium at Ulubari.
The ACA (Assam Cricket Association) has issued a statement that people are not allowed to carry anything inside the stadium except for their phones and wallet. The local authorities have also announced a set of traffic restrictions for the warm-up matches of the ICC ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 scheduled to be held at the ACA Stadium in Barsapara, Guwahati from Friday. The restrictions will be in effect on September 29 and 30, as well as on October 2 and 3.
